doubt about local status

Question

sir while applying for EAMCET i entered that i am non-local as ididn`t know at that time.recently i came to know that i belong to AU region.now in my rank card also it is printed non-local.should i go to the convener in hyd and get it changed or is it enough if iprovide necessary certificates at the time of counselling?
